Consider what it would be like to be a little wild flower happily dancing in the breeze. The wild flowers do not worry about tomorrow and have no care in the world about today. The colorful petals and tiny faces turn up toward the sun and are nourished by the rain.
The wild flowers remind us of these verses:
Luke 12:27-28 (KJV) "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil or spin, yet Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But, If God so clothes the grass, which is a alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!"
God created the flowers with such intricate beauty. Yet these flowers only last a few days at most. As seasons come and go flowers are blooming every day but, only for a short time.
Do you find yourself asking if God’s handiwork is wasted? No, not at all!
His brilliant glory is reflected in each wildflower.
But we are even more precious to him than these
wildflowers. As his image bearers, we reflect his glory even
more.
It’s easy to get caught up in the pressures of life and forget how precious we are to God. By studying the small beauties of the field, we can see ourselves as God sees us: precious beyond measure. He is caring for our every need because we are loved by Him!
If God, who beautifully created and cares so wonderfully for the flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, he will most certainly care for you.
I want to dance every day, keeping my eyes on Jesus, being nourished with His all-sustaining, Living-Water, that will never run dry.
What would it look like for you in your life if you wanted to be like the wildflower?
